Holiday Greetings!

Posted by on Dec 18, 2012 in Angels | 0 comments

As I sit at my computer today, to wish you a beautiful holiday season, I am struck by an amazing experience I had this morning when I woke up that I would like to share. I think it’s a message for all of us. Last night I’d been feeling a little blue about moving away from the friends and clients I love here in Northern California. I was also feeling a bit lost about just where in Los Angeles I should move and what direction to take with my work. I was also feeling the discomfort of not knowing just when to make this big change in...

A Shift in my Dreams

Posted by on Nov 30, 2012 in dreams | 0 comments

Today I want to share an interesting dream I had last night. Recently it has been raining and there are several storms passing through Northern California. I slept with the window partially open so that I could hear the sound of the rain and wind all night. I find that storms excite me and the energy that’s stirred up is thrilling to my spirit. Of course, sometimes I can’t sleep because I get too excited by it, but last night I was tired when I went to bed, so I slept easily. I did wake a couple of times to hear the wind and the...

Angel Gabriel is Calling

Posted by on Nov 19, 2012 in Angels | 0 comments

Something very interesting happened to me lately that has to do with angels. Now, I’ve never been one of those people who talks about angels or even “believes” in them until fairly recently. I guess I just didn’t understand how they came to be angels, if they used to be people or what… I had no real world view other than the Catholic ideas from my childhood. The pictures in the Bible that I’d seen showed archangels helping and fighting for good. This all seemed very far removed from my day to day experience...

Anatomy of Success: Simplify Everything.

Sometimes I think the beauty and challenge in life comes in managing the many variables in our everyday world. We have so many choices about practically everything in life and handling the responsibility of this is no small matter. In order to feel a sense of control, we often live rather habitually, driving the same road to work, eating mostly our favorite foods etc. We also tend to collect and accumulate stuff, even things we don’t use or enjoy anymore. Eventually, we begin to feel overwhelmed and I’d like to offer a...

The Ever Unfolding Present is a Gift

Posted by on Nov 1, 2012 in Food for Thought | 0 comments

Do you realize that the only thing that is real is this very moment? It’s the ever unfolding now and some people say, that’s why they call it the present. As trite as that may sound, there’s actually some wisdom here to grasp. If we remember that the past is actually dead and gone and the future is only an imagining in our minds, we realize that the only experience we have is right now, in this moment. I’ve heard people call it the “holy moment” for this very reason. What would your life be like if you could...

Anatomy of Success- Practicing Patience

Posted by on Oct 26, 2012 in Anatomy of Success | 0 comments

In this fast paced world we live in, patience takes practice. Waiting for the microwave can seem like an eternity when in fact it wasn’t that long ago that we had to actually wait for water to boil in a teapot. I can remember back when I was growing up that the television actually stopped running programs late at night and put a test pattern up. Now you can watch gobs of television twenty four seven. This is exactly why the art of patience is one of my practices and I encourage you to make it one of yours. When I take a moment to stop...

Anatomy of Success- Auspicious Signs

First there were a few, then I noticed a whole lot of moths flying around my apartment this past week. I thought perhaps I’d left the screen door open or that they’d come in from the trees outside. Then I awoke to even more moths and it dawned on me- they were multiplying! Suddenly all I could see were the moths that were now fluttering around every room of my apartment, landing on everything, everywhere. I began smashing them and clapping my hands together, killing them in mid-flight, but there so many! It was disgusting to say...

My Visit to New York City

Posted by on Oct 18, 2012 in My Travels | 0 comments

Yesterday I returned from a fantastic few days in New York. I’d been to NYC only once, a few years ago, except for a stop through the airport once or twice. I took my son to visit NYU’s musical theatre department and check out their graduate program. We took the red eye and I was able to sleep for a good part of it, which helped but wasn’t enough. We arrived at 6am and I felt like a deer in the headlights. It was Sunday morning and searching for my Supershuttle ride I was spotted by a van driver who convinced me that it was a...

Anatomy of Success- Persistence

Posted by on Oct 12, 2012 in Anatomy of Success | 0 comments

Today’s ingredient is persistence. Unwillingness to stop, persisting, especially in spite of opposition, obstacles and discouragement. This is no small part of what it takes for success so don’t underestimate it, especially when the dark clouds appear. This week I had a big cloud that appeared over my head, bringing with it great fear. It was so strong and felt so real, I was nearly debilitated. I felt like I was in a trance because I wasn’t my usual “me”, which is upbeat, happy and able to enjoy my life. I...
